A spiritual leader has described the moment when a person sought to barge into his Manchester house of worship during a deadly attack, remarking "I observed malevolence, I observed animosity".

The cleric explained that he and fellow worshippers secured the entrances of the temple as the attacker was "body-charging the entrances, hurling large plant pots, attempting everything he was able to to gain entry".

Praising the quick-thinking of those at the worship center, he said: "I observed real courage, I must declare, and worshippers who rushed to aid fellow members rather than escaping. It was remarkable."

Adrian Daulby, 53, and A 66-year-old man, both lost their lives after the individual hit people and stabbed a individual on Thursday.
