The First Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites began covering regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft continues to plan to draw people in with strong games on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — transforming them into excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
